Overview

Bridgeway apartments offer opportunities for people to increase their independence.

A dedicated and well trained staff assists residents s the learn cooking, shopping, money management and other independent living skills.

Apartments are unfurnished except for stoves and refrigerators. Residents decide how they want their apartments to look and work to purchase their own furnishings.

Admission Criteria

• Must be 18 years old
• Must be developmentally disabled or have a serious and persistent mental illness.
• Must have basic living skills and require minimal assistance with daily living activities such as shopping, self-care, cooking etc.
• Must be assessed to benefit from supervised living.
• Must agree to participate in services developed with the treatment team.
• Must be approved for services by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
• Must meet HUD eligibility

Accreditation and Licensing

Bridgeway has been accredited by CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation facilities) for many years. Bridgeway is also licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services to provide residential services.
