Housing Authority of McDonough County

The Housing Authority of McDonough County offers affordable income based housing in McDonough County. Our mission is to promote affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary housing for all residents of McDonough County; to enhance existing housing programs through the provision of support services; to improve the overall quality of life in Authority developments; to encourage and develop the empowerment of Housing Authority residents; to provide Authority residents with dignity, comfort, and a place to call home. The Housing Authority operates two programs, Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

To apply for the program you must first complete an eligibility application. Once you are deemed eligible, you will complete a final application. All applicants undergo criminal background, previous landlord, and credit checks. Rent determined according to your income.
